Pillar 2 · Resilience in Change & Challenge · Singapore & APAC
Organisational Change Training That Builds Resilience,
Not Resistance
Most change plans cover systems and structures. We prepare the people who have to carry them.
Resilience in Change & Challenge is organisational change training for teams and leaders in Singapore and across Asia Pacific. Three programmes help people adapt, recover and keep performing through restructuring, mergers and new ways of working. Every programme starts and ends with a 50-factor Resilience Assessment, so you can see what shifted.

WHY CHANGE STALLS
Change rarely stalls on strategy. It stalls on energy.
The plan is signed off. The new structure is drawn. Then the same people who run the business day to day are asked to absorb a reorganisation, learn new systems and keep their numbers up. Some adapt quickly. Others go quiet, dig in or start looking elsewhere.
That drain has a name. Researchers call it change fatigue, and they have shown it can be measured. It tracks closely with lower commitment and a stronger intention to leave. The good news is that the capacity to handle change can be trained, just like any other skill.
Where organisations usually call us
BEFORE THE ANNOUNCEMENT
“We’re about to restructure and we’re worried about how people will react.”
IN THE MIDDLE OF IT
“Our people are exhausted by back-to-back change. Targets are holding, but only just.”
AFTER THE DUST SETTLES
“The new structure is in place, but the energy and trust haven’t come back.”
What the evidence shows

What about “70% of change fails”?
It’s one of the most quoted numbers in management. A peer-reviewed study went looking for the evidence behind it and found none that holds up. What the research does support is simpler: sustained change wears people down, and people who can recover handle it better.

The people side of change
Change management covers the plan. We cover the people
Two terms come up in every change conversation. Here’s what they mean, and how our training fits alongside the change methods you may already use.
What is change resilience?
Change resilience is a person’s or team’s capacity to absorb the pressure of organisational change, adapt how they work, and recover their energy and focus quickly.
It can be measured and it can be trained. We measure it across 50 factors, from sleep quality and tactical calm to optimism and psychological safety.
What is change fatigue?
Change fatigue is the tiredness and cynicism people feel after too much change, too fast. It shows up as disengagement, slower decisions and quiet resistance, even in strong performers.
It’s reversible. Recovery skills, a clear sense of what people can influence, and leaders who notice early all bring energy back.
Change management vs change resilience training
They work together. Most organisations have the plan. Few have measured whether their people can carry it.
| Comparison | Change management | Change resilience training |
|---|---|---|
| Focus | The process: what changes, when and how it’s rolled out | The people: their capacity to go through change and keep performing |
| Key question | “How do we implement this?” | “Can our people absorb this and stay well and effective?” |
| Typical tools | Kotter, ADKAR, Prosci, stakeholder maps, communication plans | Resilience Assessment, bounce skills, emotional regulation, circle of influence, growth mindset |
| What gets measured | Adoption, milestones, readiness surveys | 50 resilience factors, before and after, benchmarked globally |
| Who takes part | Change leads, sponsors, project teams | Everyone affected, from senior leaders to frontline teams |
The most responsible way to push performance.

WHEN TO USE EACH ONE
Support that follows the shape of your change
People need different things before, during and after a change. This is how the three programmes line up against a typical restructure or integration, measured at the start and again at the end.

What participants learn
Practical tools for managing change at work
Grounded in neuroscience and 22+ years of resilience research. Simple enough to use the same afternoon.
1
How change affects the brain
Uncertainty sets off the same threat response as physical danger. Once people understand why they react the way they do, they can choose how to respond instead.
2
The change curve
Shock, doubt, exploration, commitment. Teams learn where they sit on the curve right now, and what helps them move to the next stage.
3
Circle of influence
Separate what you can control from what you can’t, and put your energy where it counts. This was the core of the pharma programme that 85% put to use straight away.
4
From trigger to choice
A four-step sequence for the moment you feel yourself react, so a reflex becomes a decision.
5
Bounce
Recovery skills to reset after setbacks and protect sleep and energy, so people get back to their best faster when pressure stays high.
6
Growth mindset and optimism
Reframe change as a skill to build, not a threat to survive. People practise spotting the opportunity inside a difficult change.
What the top performers do differently. Our 2025 Global Report, Fit for Change, compared the most resilient 10% with the rest. When pressure rises, the best performers don’t push harder. They regulate better. The five factors that set them apart:
Proof from real change

Organisational change training , answered
Organisational change training prepares people for restructuring, mergers, new technology and new ways of working. Our programmes focus on the human side: how people absorb pressure, adapt and recover their energy. Every programme is measured with the 50-factor Resilience Assessment before and after, so you can see what changed.
Change management training teaches teams how to plan and implement change: stakeholders, communication and adoption. Change resilience training builds people's capacity to go through that change and keep performing. The two work well together. Most organisations have a change plan. Far fewer have measured whether their people can carry it.
Ideally 4 to 6 weeks before a major announcement, so people have the tools before uncertainty peaks. Fit for Change & Adaptability is designed for that window. If change is already under way, Power Up Resilience works as a fast reset and Thrive with Resilience builds staying power through the transition.
Change fatigue is the tiredness and cynicism people feel after too much change, too fast. Research by Bernerth, Walker and Harris (2011) showed it can be measured and that it is linked to lower commitment and a stronger intention to leave. We reduce it by rebuilding recovery habits, helping people focus on what they can influence, and equipping leaders to notice early signs of strain.
Yes. For a global pharmaceutical business unit sale we ran 40 sessions in 8 weeks in English, Mandarin and Japanese. We deliver in person, virtually or in hybrid formats across Singapore, Malaysia, the Philippines, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia and Brunei, as well as Japan, South Korea and the wider Asia Pacific.
Participants complete the Resilience Assessment before the programme and again afterwards, usually 3 to 6 months later. You receive individual reports, team dashboards and a before-and-after comparison against a global benchmark. At JDE Coffee APAC, for example, one plant's resilience ratio rose 60% between the two measurements.
Power Up Resilience runs as a 2-hour or half-day session. Thrive with Resilience and Fit for Change & Adaptability run as half-day or full-day workshops, or as multi-session programmes with reinforcement between sessions. We shape the format around your change timeline and team size.
